IMSC project was selected as one of six projects in the USC Stevens Funding Program

IMSC’s Intelligent Transportation project has been selected as one of six projects for 2011 USC Stevens Ideas Empowered Translational Funding Program. USC Stevens is an institute to support USC innovators who launch project that is beyond traditional academic means. USC Stevens has given $498,700 of funding to six innovative teams this time.

‘Clear-Path’ project of IMSC is a transportation route planning for smart phones and online map platforms. It associates GPS information with real-time and future traffic congestion for more accurate traffic information than ever before.

Director Cyrus Shahabi added his excitement about the program that it is a one-of-a-kind program in academia, which enables research to transfer into a product and impacts people’s lives.
